The barley variety Rima, sometimes referred to as Rima Abed, is a spring crop developed by the Danish Abed Plant Breeding Station. In the past, the variety was actively included in scientific programs, specifically used in research on tissue culture methods and the production of doubled haploids.
Data on morphological traits and disease resistance in the public domain are limited, as the variety is obsolete and lacks widespread commercial significance. During field trials in 1993–1995, the variety participated in a comparative yield analysis as part of studies on genotype-environment interaction.
