The variety belongs to early and tall types of barley. It is characterized by good resistance to stem breakage, however, it requires the application of growth regulators to prevent lodging.
The plant possesses moderate resistance to Rhynchosporium and abiotic spotting, but is susceptible to barley yellow dwarf virus. Genetically, the variety carries the mlo-11 gene, which determines resistance to powdery mildew.
The variety's production is used primarily for forage purposes, and can sometimes be used for the production of pearl barley. The variety is intended for cultivation in lowland areas and is suitable for minimum tillage technologies.
