The variety belongs to spring forms of barley and is classified as feed. In the 1990s and 2000s, it was actively used in technological research, in particular for studying grain geometry and technological characteristics of flour.
Grain characteristics include average uniformity, as well as specific indicators of protein and starch content, including low alpha-amylase activity. Genetically, the variety contains alleles of genes, such as Vrn-H2, which determine its development rhythms; its resistance to fungal infections was also studied.
