The plant has moderately short straw and is characterized by moderate lodging resistance. Under field conditions, the variety shows a moderate level of resistance to rhynchosporium, while it may be susceptible to net blotch.
The variety has been actively used in breeding programs as a parental line for developing other varieties, such as Laureate. In Russian-language sources, the variety is sometimes referred to by the transliteration “Сонет”.
