The variety is a spring barley. In breeding programs, it was used as a parent form for creating new hybrids and was also applied in scientific research dedicated to studying the enzymatic activity of xylanases in the grain.

Currently, the variety is excluded from most current recommended lists and is stored in genetic resource banks, in particular, at the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NGB).
