The spring barley variety Skhidnyi was bred to stabilize yield in the conditions of the eastern part of the Northern Steppe of Ukraine. The plant possesses the ability to form a developed root system and productive stand when agrotechnological requirements and mineral nutrition are met.
The application of agrotechnical practices contributes to increasing immunity to the pathogens of main diseases and positively influences morphological indicators: ear length and the number of grains in it. The variety is intended for grain production in steppe soil and climatic conditions.
