The spring barley variety Sokol belongs to the medium-early group, with a period from emergence to harvest maturity of 78–85 days. The plant reaches a height of 78–88 cm.
The plant has a semi-erect growth habit. The ear is cylindrical, loose or of medium density, without waxy bloom. The awns are serrated and exceed the ear in length. The caryopsis is very large. The variety belongs to the nutans botanical variety.
