The variety was derived from the Trine / H2242 combination and is registered in the Nordic Genetic Resource Center database under the number NGB 13780. It belongs to the six-row barley type and is a spring form.

The plant belongs to the early-maturing group, maturing three days earlier than the Tyra variety and having similar maturity dates to the Thule variety. The grain yield level exceeds that of the Thule variety by 4%.

The variety possesses lodging resistance at the level of Thule. It is distinguished by higher resistance to powdery mildew and leaf blotch.

The variety is used in studies of amino acid composition and the assessment of risks of mycotoxin accumulation in cereal crops.
