The variety is a winter six-row barley of the waxy type. A feature of the grain composition is the prevalence of amylopectin, the content of which is 95–100%. The variety is characterized by a high and stable level of beta-glucans, the values of which may vary depending on growing conditions, including nitrogen fertilization and phytosanitary treatment.
The main areas of use are the food industry for the production of healthy food products and the starch-syrup industry. The grain is also considered as a promising raw material for industrial processing as a renewable resource and is used in breeding work when studying the reaction of barley to abiotic stresses.
