The plant has erect dark grey-green leaves of linear or lanceolate shape. The flowers are funnel-shaped or bell-shaped and gathered in erect racemose inflorescences. The intensity of the dark shade of the inflorescences depends on cultivation conditions: the coloration appears more intensely in open field than indoors.

Flowering occurs in mid-spring, usually in April and May. The variety is suitable for planting in open field, container cultivation, indoor forcing, and cut flowers. The plant is frost-resistant, corresponding to hardiness zones 3-4.
