The variety is a hybrid of Daphne bholua and Daphne odora. It is a compact, dense, upright and slightly spreading shrub reaching 1.2–1.5 m in height and about 1 m in width. The foliage is evergreen, consisting of glossy dark green leathery leaves.
Flowering is early and prolonged, continuing from mid-winter to spring with possible sporadic bud appearance in summer. Large white flowers, opening from lilac-pink buds, have a strong fragrance with citrus notes and are located along the stems and at the tips of the branches.
The plant demonstrates increased resistance to diseases such as root rot and leaf drop, characteristic of the Daphne genus. The variety has a certain tolerance to sunlight and is suitable for cultivation in open field and containers. The plant is toxic if ingested.
