The variety is a compact plant about 23 cm tall and up to 46 cm wide. The stems are sturdy and do not lodge. The fleshy elliptical leaves have a serrated margin. Their color varies from dark purple with a bright pink margin in full sun to blue-green with a white and pink margin in the shade.
The flowers are star-shaped, purple-pink in hue, and gathered in dense corymbose inflorescences. The flowering period lasts from late summer to late autumn. The plant is drought-tolerant and intended for use in rock gardens, borders, container gardening, and mass plantings.
