The Didi Orange Two variety belongs to the group of double impatiens, which can be classified within the Double Diamond series. The plant has a compact, upright growth habit.

Genetically, the variety was obtained by crossing a maternal seedling with red flowers and a paternal seedling with scarlet flowers. In a number of sources, the plant is referred to under the commercial name Silhouette™ Orange.
