The variety belongs to the double impatiens group and is known under the trade name Double Diamond Salmon. The plant is used in ornamental floriculture for landscaping open ground and placement in containers.

There is a separate variety Didi Salmon Two, which is an independent breeding object with a different genetic history and is sold under the trade name Silhouette Salmon.
