The Cameo variety series belongs to the Impatiens culture. It includes several color variations, such as Cameo Salmon, Cameo Salmon Chiffon, Cameo Pink and Cameo Scarlet, which are classified as varieties of Impatiens walleriana or New Guinea impatiens hybrids.

In scientific research, these varieties are used in experiments on agricultural techniques, in particular for studying optimal potassium concentrations during sub-irrigation in greenhouse conditions. It is also known that the varieties of this series require adherence to a specific temperature regime for the initiation of flowering.
