Variety description

The variety belongs to the species Jatropha podagrica. The plant is a succulent perennial shrub with a characteristic swollen stem and branching stems. Flowers of a bright coral shade are gathered in inflorescences.
The plant possesses high drought tolerance, but does not tolerate waterlogging and is resistant to diseases. All parts of the Jatropha are poisonous, and the sap is capable of causing skin irritation upon contact.
This variety has an exclusively decorative purpose and is grown in containers or in open field in regions with USDA hardiness zones 10–11. Specific agronomic characteristics, such as height or maturity group, are not described for the variety.
