Variety description

The plant forms a cushion-shaped crown 15–30 cm in height and up to 2–2.5 meters in diameter. The shoots are tightly pressed to the ground and have the ability to root. The needles are scale-like and soft, possessing an emerald hue in the spring-summer period, which changes to plum or bronze-purple in winter.

The variety belongs to winter-hardy crops (USDA zones 2–4), is characterized by drought tolerance and adaptation to urban conditions. To maintain plant health, it is necessary to avoid water stagnation, as excessive moisture creates a risk of fungal diseases and root rot.

The shrub is widely used in landscape design for creating groundcover mats, reinforcing slopes, as well as for decorating alpine slides, rock gardens, and retaining walls.
