Variety description

The variety has a slender, pencil-like shape, with shoots pressed tightly to the trunk and directed vertically upward. By 10 years of age, the plant reaches 2–3 meters in height, and at maturity, it grows to 6–8 meters with a crown diameter of about 0,8–1 meter.
The needles are soft, needle-like and scale-like, retaining a silvery-bluish-green hue in winter. The fruits are dark blue cone-berries with a glaucous bloom. The annual height growth is about 15–30 cm.
The plant is drought-tolerant and winter-hardy; however, it requires open, sunny locations, as it loses density and color brightness in the shade. It can be affected by fungal diseases, and in heavy snowfall, the branches are prone to deformation due to snow accumulation.
