The variety is a perennial, dense-tufted, bunchgrass with a height ranging from 15 to 60 cm and narrow upright panicles. It is a cool-season plant characterized by early spring green-up.

The plant possesses good adaptability to extreme temperatures, drought tolerance, and the ability to grow in poor sandy soils. The variety's slow growth allows for a reduction in mowing frequency by up to 35%.

Primary limitations include low tolerance to heavy foot traffic, weak competitiveness against weeds, and limited seed productivity. The species may be susceptible to rust, powdery mildew, loose smut, and yellow leaf spot.
