Variety description

The plant is a medium-sized tree with a dense, narrow crown. The main difference from the species form lies in the growth habit of the branches, which are directed vertically upwards and do not pendulate with age. Young shoots have a bright green color; the trunk remains smooth, acquiring a brownish-green hue with age.
Leaves are trifoliate, dark green on top and glaucous-green on the underside, 3–8 cm long. Flowering is profuse, with golden-yellow racemes 10–25 cm long, without a distinct fragrance. All parts of the plant contain alkaloids and are poisonous.
The variety has winter hardiness in the range of -23°C to -28°C and tolerates calcareous soils. Recommended for planting in sunny areas. To maintain flowering, light pruning of long shoots is performed after it ends, stimulating the development of two-year-old branches.
