The variety forms vigorous heads of good quality. The plant's leaves possess a tender texture and good taste characteristics.

The plant possesses resistance to bolting, which allows it to be grown in the early summer period, and in cool regions, also in mid-summer. A number of studies note the variety's susceptibility to the disease Bremia lactucae.

It is a traditional open-pollinated variety. At present, the variety is maintained primarily in vegetable crop collections and gene banks, gradually being displaced from industrial circulation by modern hybrids.
