The variety belongs to the Batavia type and is intended for cultivation under protected conditions. The plant is characterized by uniform development and forms an open, voluminous, and dense head. The leaves have a bright green color and a pronounced blistered texture.
Bancola possesses resistance to marginal leaf scorch, Fusarium wilt (Fol: 1), and a complex of downy mildew races (Bremia lactucae, races Bl: 16–37EU). The variety is oriented towards cultivation in the autumn-spring period.
