The Boratal variety belongs to the Romaine type and is intended for cultivation in the open field during the winter and autumn-winter periods. The plant is distinguished by its ability to form high-quality heads, as well as high tolerance to tip burn and premature bolting.
The variety possesses high resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races 29–37EU), Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lactucae, race 1), and currant-lettuce aphid (Nasonovia ribisnigri). Intended for commercial cultivation.
