The Boregar variety is officially registered in European agricultural variety registers. In commercial circulation, primarily in Ukraine, it is presented under the name "Frisée de Boregar."
The plant has fringed leaves of a bright emerald color. The variety is characterized by high cold resistance, heat tolerance, and a delayed bolting process. It can be grown as a leaf lettuce or until the stage of head formation.
