The variety Brisamar is an iceberg type. The head has a spherical or slightly flattened shape with a flat base. Head weight varies from 400 to 900 grams; the leaves have a tender, deep green color.
The period from transplanting to maturity is from 35 to 65 days. The variety is intended for cultivation in spring, summer, and autumn periods, including harvests in late summer and early autumn. The plant is characterized by high yield and resistance to high temperatures.
The variety possesses resistance to tip burn and premature bolting. High resistance (HR) is claimed against a wide spectrum of pathogens, including various races of downy mildew Bremia lactucae.
