The plant has a large rosette diameter and forms dense, heavy heads with a high yield of marketable leaves. The variety is suitable for summer and autumn growing cycles and is characterized by late flowering and resistance to bolting.
Possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:16–36). In scientific studies, the variety is noted as susceptible to bacterial soft rot Erwinia persicina.
