ActiveLactuca sativa L. · Lettuce
SVS Holland B.V.
10 August 2026
The plant belongs to the group Lactuca sativa var. angustana (or asparagina). The main yield consists of a fleshy stem with a crunchy texture, the taste of which is compared to a combination of celery, asparagus, and cucumber. The leaves are edible at a young age, but as growth continues, the primary food product is the peeled stem.
The vegetation period of the crop is from 70 to 120 days. The plant is cold-resistant, though it is prone to rapid bolting at elevated temperatures and long daylight hours. Like other types of lettuce, it is susceptible to fungal and bacterial diseases typical of the Asteraceae family.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
