The plant forms large voluminous rosettes with a diameter of 30–35 cm. The leaves are light green in color, with a slightly blistered surface and wavy edges. The leaf texture is crispy, with a mild, slightly sweet taste.
The variety is distinguished by delayed bolting and high resistance to high temperatures, which allows for cultivation during the summer and autumn periods. The vegetation cycle until technical maturity is approximately 60 days.
The variety has a number of synonyms, including «Webb's Wonderful», «New York» and «L. parisienne à graine blanche». In addition to fresh consumption, it has historically been used for thermal culinary processing.
