The variety was obtained by crossing the parent lines Morangold and Moranguard. The plant is distinguished by vigorous growth at the beginning of the season and forms large heavy heads possessing an attractive dark green base.
The variety possesses genetic resistance to the big vein virus, which causes vein expansion, and also displays tolerance to leaf tip burn.
