The plant belongs to the butterhead lettuce type, sometimes classified as a Spanish type. The head is characterized by its large size, density, and heavy weight; leaves have a medium green color. A wide and clean base of the head facilitates the process of separating the leaves from each other.
The variety possesses high resistance (HR) to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races Bl:29-35, 37, 38, 40, 41EU), currant-lettuce aphid (Nasonovia ribisnigri, Nr:0), and internal necrosis (Pemphigus bursarius). Intermediate resistance (IR) is noted to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1).
