The variety belongs to the romaine (cos) type and is a medium-sized plant with an open rosette up to 25–40 cm tall. The light green leaves are covered with numerous wine-red or burgundy speckles, the intensity of which increases as the plant grows.
The period from germination to technical maturity is 50–70 days. The plant possesses high resistance to high temperatures and is slow to bolt. The leaves have a crunchy texture and a mild, sweetish taste.
The variety is suitable for cultivation in open field, greenhouses, and containers. Harvesting is possible both as a full head and by successive picking of individual leaves.
