The Gagarin RZ variety forms a flat, cushion-shaped rosette of green leaves and is characterized by rapid development. The plant possesses high resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:16-37EU) and currant-lettuce aphid (Nr:0).
The variety is equipped with Knox technology, which ensures slowed oxidation and browning of tissues at the cut of the leaf, which contributes to an increase in the shelf life of the produce. In reference materials, the variety is also found under the breeding number 79-374.
