The variety forms a medium-sized head with an elongated leaf type. The leaves have a characteristic red color and a pronounced gloss. The variety is intended for spring and autumn cultivation in the open field and is suitable both for harvesting as whole heads and for the gradual picking of individual leaves.
The plant possesses high resistance to bolting. The variety is characterized by resistance to lettuce downy mildew, Bremia lactucae, including races Bl: 1–19 and 20–26. The produce is intended for sale in the fresh market and for processing.
