Iceberg type variety of the 'Vanguard' subtype, intended for winter cultivation with a transplanting period into the ground from October to November and harvesting in February and March. The plant possesses a high level of growth energy and forms balanced, homogeneous heads.
Possesses high resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) races Bl: 16–37. The produce is distinguished by a high marketableyield, good quality of heads, and an absence of ribbing problems; the variety is suitable for both the fresh market and industrial processing.
