The variety belongs to the red Batavia type; in some sources, it is characterized as sherry-red Batavia. The variety is intended for cultivation during the winter period and is focused on use for obtaining young leaves (Baby Leaf).
The plant possesses complex resistance to diseases, in particular, to lettuce downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) races Bl: 16–36EU, as well as to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1).
