The variety is a crisphead lettuce forming a large rosette and dense, thick leaves of dark green color. The seeds of the plant are black.
The plant possesses resistance to tipburn, pink rib, and bolting. The variety shows tolerance to high temperatures and frosts, and also possesses resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, California pathovar 3).
The variety is intended for cultivation in regions with hot climates, where adaptation to significant temperature fluctuations is necessary. In its morphological characteristics, it is close to the variety «Vanguard».
