The variety belongs to the oak leaf (Red Oak) lettuce type and is part of the Salanova line. The plant forms a rosette of leaves with a firm texture, characterized by high weight and a small cut area at the base, which is convenient for preparation.
The variety is intended for cultivation during the summer season due to its resistance to bolting and leaf tipburn. It shows resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, isolates Bl:17–36EU) and lettuce aphid (Nr:0).
It can be supplied with the Knox trait, which slows down the browning of leaf cuts after harvest, thereby increasing the shelf life of the finished product.
