The plant forms voluminous, rather dense heads of a light yellow-green color. The leaves are tender, slightly blistered, with wavy edges. The variety is historically associated with the Batavia group, although in old sources it was also described as a self-heading cos lettuce.
The variety is relatively resistant to bolting and less sensitive to heat, which allows it to be used for summer cultivation in the open field and greenhouses. Direct sowing into the soil or the use of the seedling method is possible. Agronomic practice requires regular watering to maintain leaf quality.
