The variety forms a voluminous, fairly compact, but slightly open head weighing about 200–300 grams. The leaves have a characteristic "blistered" surface; in texture, they are crispy and fleshy, of medium thickness. The leaf color is bright green with reddish or purple shades.
Belongs to mid-early varieties with a maturity period from transplanting to harvest of 30–40 days. The plant is considered plastic, suitable for cultivation in various seasons from spring to the end of summer. It is a local Tuscan ecotype and is used primarily as a leaf lettuce for fresh consumption.
