The Presteria RZ variety belongs to the butterhead lettuce type. The growing period is from 50 to 60 days. The plant forms a large, heavy, light-type head with smooth, medium-to-thick leaves. The average head weight varies in the range of 400 to 600 g.
The variety possesses resistance to leaf tip burn and bolting, as well as to powdery mildew (races Bl:16-34EU) and Pb. The lower part of the head is characterized by high density and a small cut area.
The plant is intended for cultivation in heated glass greenhouses and hydroponic systems, primarily during the early autumn and spring periods. The variety is capable of developing under long daylight conditions in low levels of artificial lighting.
