The Probus RZ variety is a Romaine-type lettuce. The plant has a robust growth habit, forms glossy and dense leaves that maintain their marketability when sold in crates or individual packaging.
The variety is adapted for cultivation in both protected and open field conditions. It is particularly recommended for planting seedlings in the autumn months (September and October), demonstrating high tolerance to bolting under low light conditions.
It possesses high resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races Bl: 29–39EU) and intermediate resistance to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV: 1) and fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lactucae, race Fol: 4).
