Radichetta is an early-maturing variety with a period from emergence to technical maturity of 50 to 63 days. The plant forms an upright, semi-open rosette and can reach a height of 30 cm. If not cut, it may form a loose head. The bright green leaves have an elongated, serrated shape resembling oak or chicory leaves.
The variety has a crunchy texture and a mild flavor without bitterness. It is suitable for multiple cuttings, as the leaves are capable of regrowing after harvest. The plant is characterized by cold hardiness and the ability to tolerate heat and drought better than many other varieties. In cooking, it is used fresh and is also suitable for heat treatment.
