The variety belongs to the mini-romaine or Little Gem type and is intended for year-round cultivation in the open field. The plant forms compact cylindrical heads with a short stem and green leaves, which sometimes have a blistered structure. Good head closure and the flat shape of the leaf ribs facilitate packaging for sale.
The variety possesses high resistance to bolting and internal tipburn, and maintains its market quality in the field for a long time. It has high resistance (HR) to downy mildew races 29–37 and 39–41EU, the aphid Nasonovia ribisnigri (Nr:0), and Fusarium wilt (Fol:4). It shows intermediate resistance (IR) to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1).
The variety is intended for the fresh market and professional commercial use, including mechanical harvesting and processing. The product is in demand for sale as small heads or in multi-packs.
