The variety belongs to the baby leaf type and is a glossy dark red romaine. The leaves of the variety are tender, possessing a mild flavor with notes of apple, pea, dandelion, as well as earthy, nutty, and slightly bitter undertones.
The plant is intended for winter production and harvesting at the young leaf stage. The variety possesses resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae), including races Bl:1–21, 23–26, 28–36EU.
