Struwelpeter is a leaf lettuce of the cutting type (pflücksalat). The plant forms large open heads with intense green, dense, and deeply serrated curly leaves, resembling oak leaves in shape.
The variety is intended for open field cultivation with a sowing period from March to June and a long harvest window. The recommended planting scheme is 30 x 30 cm with a sowing depth of 0.5 cm. The variety is sensitive to water deficit, which significantly reduces biomass indicators.
