The plant belongs to the Batavia type and forms open large heads consisting of many smooth leaves of bright green color. The variety is intended for fresh market sale and use in the preparation of salad mixes.

This variety possesses resistance to bolting and leaf tip burn. It has resistance to lettuce mosaic virus and downy mildew species Bremia lactucae (races 1-24).
