The variety forms a leaf rosette that separates into many elements of the same size with a single cut. The plant is characterized by intense coloration and resistance to tipburn.

Possesses high resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races 29–36, 38–41), currant-lettuce aphid (Nasonovia ribisnigri), and tomato bushy stunt virus. Intermediate resistance is noted to Stemphylium leaf spot (Stemphylium spp.) and Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lactucae).

The variety is suitable for cultivation in protected soil, hydroponics, and at high planting density for the production of whole heads. Harvesting is possible throughout the year.
