Tuska is a semi-heading Lollo Rossa type leaf lettuce that forms dense and voluminous rosettes. The leaves are finely serrated at the edges and have an intense cherry-red color with good color penetration into the center of the rosette. The taste profile is characterized by the absence of bitterness.
The growing period is from 40 to 60 days. The variety possesses high resistance to downy mildew races Bl:16–26, 28, 32, lettuce aphid Nr:0, as well as to tip burn, bolting, and low positive temperatures.
The plant is characterized by high plasticity and is suitable for year-round cultivation in open field and protected cultivation, as well as in hydroponics. The produce is suitable for sale on the fresh market and for industrial processing, and possesses good transportability.
