The variety belongs to the head lettuce group. Its genealogy is linked to the Great Lakes 407 breeding line, and no genes from the wild species Lactuca virosa were used in the breeding process.
The variety was intended for professional cultivation, however, it is currently almost never found in commercial seed catalogs.
