Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 160–260 cm and has from 6 to 20 stiff, erect stems. Large five- or three-lobed leaves and the upper parts of the stems are covered with dense pubescence. Pink five-petaled flowers have distinct dark veins and a petal length of 30–40 mm. Seeds are kidney-shaped, smooth, with a thousand kernel weight of about 3.5 g.

The variety blooms and produces seeds in the first year of vegetation; flowering occurs at the end of summer. Due to a well-developed root system, the plant is resistant to drought and low temperatures. The stems are characterized by strength and stiffness.

When used as a honey plant, nectar productivity is about 8.8 mg per day per flower. Dry biomass yield reaches 15–25 tons per hectare when used for energy purposes, or 10–15 tons for forage use with three to four cuts. The plant is also suitable for the production of cellulose and medicinal raw materials.
